Earlier this year, I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside my dear friend and longtime collaborator, costume designer Kevynn Brewer, on a stunning commercial for Liberty Bank. This project was a dream assignment for any lover of period fashion—it spanned over 200 years of history, celebrating the legacy of one of America’s oldest Black-owned banks.
What made this commercial truly special was its cinematic treatment: it was shot entirely on Kodak film, giving each frame an authentic, timeless quality that digital simply can’t replicate. From the late 1700s to modern-day, we meticulously designed looks that were both era-accurate and visually cohesive, making the transitions between time periods feel seamless and powerful.
As the costume supervisor, I handled everything from sourcing authentic vintage pieces to managing fittings, organizing the wardrobe team, and overseeing continuity across multiple eras. This is the kind of work that lights me up—sourcing, styling, and storytelling through costume.
If you loved the aesthetic of our Gin & Juice x Hardy commercial, you’ll appreciate the craftsmanship in this one as well. I’m so proud to share this spot with you.
