On the back of my plane ticket I wrote down my focus for 2015.hustle, hustle, hustle

do more yoga</span>I posted that ticket on the back of my front door. Those words were prominent in my daily rituals even if indirectly. And wouldn’t you know it? I did just that.
I worked 85% of this year! I’m sure that seems crazy (or big deal) to some, but as my freelancers know, that is quite the success! I even took a vacation. And by vacation I mean: FORCED time off in a different location!
Not only did I have steady work for most of the year but I made time for the project that really mattered to me. I protected and devoted so much precious energy to the swim project. I was meticulous and thoughtful about every step starting with the outcome. It wasn’t until I was in the middle of the first photo shoot for the line when it dawned on me; I wasn’t the stylist on this shoot. I was the DESIGNER. Elation. I get the feeling of pure elation when I think of this gift. Thank you. It is because of Your support that I have reached this far on the journey to create this little swim baby: Evoke Serena.
And thank me too! For the first time in my life it wasn’t about You any more. It was about me! This was the year that I learned to love Myself. By doing so, I learned how to love you better too. There were lessons on loss and resilience. I learned to forgive and move on. I set boundaries and understood MY WORTH. I experienced so much heartache but ultimately it was all for the best. Because at the end of the day I am just with Me. I am the one that will love Me the most.
It is my understanding that the more I am at peace with Me the more at peace You will be with You. After 15+ years of my yoga practice I finally became a yogi. I thank my community for the support and encouragement to dive deeper and learn more about soul than I have known in this lifetime.
These lessons and this life are all so interesting and exciting. Armed with the best intentions, I look forward to seeing where I can take the next 365 days of this life. May this be the year that your best intentions shine!
